Rasmussen University is a regionally accredited private college and has been dedicated to changing lives and the communities it serves through its career-focused and flexible educational programs since 1900. “Not many people say that they truly love their jobs, but I am fortunate enough to be one of those people. For more than four years, I have been able to be a part of the University’s mission, which is really exciting to me,” Nowaczyk says.

The campus is conveniently located southwest of Chicago at the intersection of Interstate 55 and Weber Road and has free parking available for students, faculty, staff and visitors on site.

“As a free-standing campus we designed and built, it is tailored for our students and their needs,” Nowaczyk said.

School of Health Sciences

• Medical Assisting Diploma: The Medical Assisting Diploma program at the Romeoville/Joliet campus in Illinois is accredited by theAccrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools(ABHES)。¹
• Surgical Technologist Associate’s: The Surgical Technologist AAS program at the Romeoville/Joliet campus is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) on the recommendation of theAccreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting(ARC/STSA).²

“The campus is always buzzing. With many residential students, we have a ‘work hard, play hard’ mentality. It isn’t uncommon to see lots of snacks, impromptu games of kickball in the parking lot and many smiles and laughs,” says Nowaczyk.

The online Student Portal is the gateway to a variety of self-service tools, from course materials, grades, account balance, financial aid and library resources to career help and even 24/7 tech help.

“Students make themselves at home on our campus. Whether it is grabbing a taco with their classmates on Taco Tuesday, making another pot of coffee in the student lounge or kicking back in a massage chair after finals, we really are a close-knit community,” said Nowaczyk.
